  • About Us
’Im a full time photojournalist based in the San Diego area and I began shooting weddings more than 10 years ago. As a photojournalist I have had to shoot in some of the most difficult and unfriendly environments you can imagine. I took those difficult lessons and applied them to wedding photography. I was warned of the high stress and insane work conditions by other wedding photographers. They spoke of scary Bridezillas and terrifying mothers but to be honest, I have yet to experience anything other than a complete Zen like environment when shooting weddings. I have taught very successful wedding photography workshops for Calumet and The Image Group Photography. I enjoyed every sold out class. As a photojournalist I have an extremely keen eye for details and shots that are normally left behind by other photographers and I try to teach that to my students along with the importance of making your Bride and Groom beyond happy with the outcome. I am a very pleasant and very hard working shooter. I’m experienced with almost all types of religious and non denominational wedding ceremonies so, I’m familiar with all of the key moments and traditions. I do a lot of traveling across the US and several other countries as a wedding photographer and as a photojournalist. For those amazing destinations shoots all I ask for is running water and a cot. If you’re springing for first class and a five star hotel I promise to be very thankful. If you have any questions or concerns please feel free to contact me.

Do we offer special techniques such as hand-coloring or toning?

When will you get the final album?
6-8 weeks possibly sooner for the photos. The books that we do vary and I like to say 6 weeks. It takes time to put the perfect story together. Anything less is just less and I\'m certainly not less. The album gurus would have to give you their projections.

What kind of albums do we offer?
We only offer coffee table books and look books. Not the cheep crappy ones but the really nice ones. If you\'re interested in a wedding album I will refer you to someone that specializes in wedding albums. It is extremely expensive to get into doing albums. I would much rather spend my time and resources doing what I know and let the album gurus play with their mojo and make you much happier with their expertise.

Will images be available for viewing online?
The files will be making you cry in front of your computer and all over your iPad as soon as we finish the editing. Please note we are not responsible for your electronics exploding because you were crying all over them while looking at your amazing photos.

Do we provide the digital files and/or negatives (or copies of the negatives) to the client?
Yes you will receive all of the digital offspring in both hi res and low res for facebook and emailing

Do we reserve the right to publish the photos?
I would love to publish but I understand sometimes with high end or famous clients I just can\'t do that because they\'ll break my face...it was in the last contract just ask the Hollywood Vixen and her friends.

Do we retain the copyright for the photos?
Only a partial copyright. I do not hold your photos hostage. They have rights. And besides they belong to you so, I ask you permission to borrow them for my portfolio and use them to brag about how friggin awesome I did...if that\'s okay with you.

How long can you keep the proofs?
Forever or until you lose them. But if you do lose them just call. We keep a copy around here somewhere.

In what format are the initial proofs offered?
High resolution Jpeg digital

How soon after the event are the proofs ready for viewing?
6-8 weeks. We do not rush editing but, we will tease throughout the process by posting samples on FB to make sure we\'re on the same page and to see how much you really really want to see your photos.

Do we charge for travel?
Yes I do charge for travel. Cheap flights, a cot and running water is our bare minimum. Really, it\'s happened. A lousy cot and cold water equaled one of the most spectacular shoots I have ever had the pleasure of photographing. I wish I could tell you who the Hollywood vixen was but she would break my face and my camera. If you feel the need to spring for 5 star accommodations I promise to be thankful. Your mini bar is safe...I don\'t drink. I know right? It\'s my only flaw be happy!

What is our policy on taking breaks?
I do require a quick meal but I am a photojournalist. We shoot with the ON button ON there is no OFF button or breaks. Okay maybe a little one but only because Vinnie from the Union says so.

Are we available to shoot extra hours? If yes, how much do we charge for extra hours?
It\'s a flat rate. Sorry your stuck with me...what\'s for breakfast?

Do we charge hourly or full day?
I\'m your Huckleberry. You have me for the full day until it\'s over or things just start to become redundant. Hourly is for get rich quick photographers...it\'s silly to pressure your Bride and Groom with time limits. Come on photographers, knock it off!

What kind of equipment do we typically bring with you on the day-of?
3-4 Bodies 4-8 lenses and several types of lighting and triggers. I shoot Canon if it matters to you however I\'m a recovering Nikon shooter so I\'m familiar with both.

Do we bring back-up equipment to the event in case of malfunction?
I ALWAYS bring back up gear. My editors would fire me if I didn\'t. It\'s engrained in my workflow.

Do we sometimes book ourself for more than one event in a day? Weekend?
Yes, as a full time photojournalist I will work several assignments in one day. However when it comes to weddings \"there can only be one\"...get it?

How many photographers do we have on the team?
I have access to some of the most incredible photographers in the industry. At the bare minimum you will have at least two photographers myself and someone as good or better than me. I don't use up and comers on weddings...EVER!

What is our media preference?
I am old school and capable of both medias with equally high standards regardless of film or digital. Of course I prefer digital for it\'s instant gratification. I\'m a guy...Really?

Do we have experience shooting in various lighting situations?
